The Puget Sound Health Alliance (PSHA), in collaboration with Puget Sound physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, clinic leaders and others, including patients and employers, developed the Community Checkup report to help you - the consumer - understand the health care system in the Puget Sound region and learn how to work with your doctor to make best choices for you and your family.
PSHA recently published an expanded and updated version of the Community Checkup report that reflects the results of an expanded list of 76 medical groups and nearly 240 clinic locations as well as 30 hospitals within King, Kitsap, Pierce, Snohomish and Thurston counties. The report measures types of care that help to promote better health and reduce the risk of complications and more severe illness, especially for people with chronic conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, and depression.
The Community Checkup report is online and free. To learn more about the Alliance and the Community Checkup report, visit the Puget Sound Health Alliance Web site.
