Dennis Chong, M.D. leads clinical policy, programs, pharmacy and quality for medical management within the health care services division. He joined Regence in 2006.
From 1997 to 2006, he was most recently vice president and senior market medical executive for CIGNA HealthCare. In this role, Dr. Chong led quality and medical management initiatives for 9 states in the Northwest and Mountain states regions. He has served as the national leader in developing programs for post-acute care, specialty pharmacy, and specialty case management.
Prior to joining CIGNA, Dr. Chong was in private practice specializing in pain and musculoskeletal medicine, and sports and performing arts medicine. He was also the former Stroke & Neurorehabilitation medical director for the Rehabilitation Institute of Michigan.
Dr. Chong received his medical degree from the University of Calgary, Alberta and is board certified by the College of Family Physicians, the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons, Canada, and the American Board of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation.
