Cheron Vail
Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer
Cheron leads strategic direction for information technology services and aligns the day-to-day operations of the IT Services division with overall Regence business direction and priorities.
She has held a leadership position with Regence since 2003.
Active in the community, Cheron serves on the advisory boards of the Portland-area Salvation Army and Quiet Waters Outreach, serving people with developmental disabilities and their families.
Cheron earned her bachelor's degree in mathematics from Humboldt State University; a master's degree in computer science from the Naval Postgraduate School, and a Ph.D. in computer science from University of California, San Diego.
