“I was initially attracted to Regence for the opportunity of career advancement. My interest with the company came long before I applied for the internship position, and I decided to take an internship here because of the company's reputation. I was really impressed with the people in Human Resources throughout the on-boarding process and the interview process for interns was great.
What I found to be most valuable about my internship was working with people who are at the top of their field, who know the industry, and who are striving to transform the health care system. I also feel the mentorship program was value added to my internship experience. My mentor helped me with networking, introduced me to employees in other divisions, and presented a broad view of the company. The opportunities I have had here to provide feedback into relevant legal issues in the insurance industry has truly made me feel like an integral part of this company.”

“Coming out of college it is pretty easy to find a job, but you find out pretty quickly that it's difficult to find a good job. Instead of selling Widgets or Windows, I wanted to do something that made a difference, so I came to Regence.
My internship was really nice segue from the college life into the working life that provided a low stress environment where I could apply some of the practices that I had been studying about. In my internship, I was afforded every opportunity to apply things I had learned in college.
Since Regence is such a large company, there are a lot of people with a lot of good expertise in a lot of different fields. You can learn a great deal if you pay attention here. With that being said, it feels like a smaller company; you get a big company feel and that small company feel as well as it is a nice dynamic.”

“My internship with Regence has been unlike any other internship I have had before. I can say with confidence, the Regence internship program has offered me the best opportunity yet. The department I am in, Consumer Directed Health Systems, provides cutting edge services that better develop the relationship between the company and its members.
The user segmentation analysis I performed on myRegence.com helped the company assess the value the site brings to members. The customer centric nature of my internship is something that I really appreciate and it has made my time here worthwhile. It gives me pride to know the project I was assigned to will leave a mark on the company long after I return to school.
I also feel the work experience gained throughout my internship has developed my skill-set and better integrated me into the corporate world. I was given the opportunity to get work experience doing data analysis in an industry that I did not have an opportunity in before.
Not only is the location wonderful, but the people are great, the company is amazing, and I have enjoyed the opportunity to help provide a meaningful service.”
