CPT 80050 not covered under Federal Reform
Regence follows government guidelines, including the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) A and B Recommendations, to determine which preventive services we cover under Federal Reform at 100% (no deductibles, coinsurance or copayments) in nongrandfathered plans pursuant to Federal Reform.
CPT 80050 General health panel includes several blood tests. Some of these tests are covered under Federal Reform as preventive for some patients; however, not all are. Please bill the appropriate codes for the individual blood tests to ensure benefits are paid as preventive under Federal Reform. (Claims submitted for CPT 80050 will be applied to the member's medical benefits and not covered at 100%.)
