Claire Verity

President of Regence BlueShield

As market president, Claire Verity is responsible for directing the statewide operations of Regence BlueShield including sales, provider contracting, government affairs and community relations. Claire brings strategic vision and transformational leadership to the Washington market, where the Regence health plans were founded more than 100 years ago.

In her more than two decades in the health care industry, Claire has a record of leading with critical thinking, relationship building, and brings a strong commitment to improving the health care of members. Before coming to Regence, she was president and chief executive officer of a national health plan in the Pacific Northwest, where she drove membership and revenue growth across multiple states.

She has a long history of board service for Northwest nonprofits including Northwest Center, Habitat for Humanity and the American Heart Association of Oregon and Southwest Washington. She was also a founder of “Daring Women,” a Seattle Business Magazine event featuring trailblazing women executives. In 2021, Claire was named one of the Women of Influence by Puget Sound Business Journal. She has a bachelor’s degree in communications and leadership from St. Catherine University.
