Description

Core buildup, including any pins when required (D2950)

  • Refers to building of coronal structure when there is insufficient retention for a separate extracoronal restorative procedure. A core buildup is not a filler to eliminate any undercut, box form, or concave irregularity in a preparation.

Post and core in addition to crown, indirectly fabricated (D2952)

  • Cast post and core is separate from crown

Prefabricated post and core in addition to crown (D2954)

  • Core is built around a prefabricated post. This procedure includes the core material.

Each additional, indirectly fabricated post – same tooth (D2953)

  • To be used with D2952

Each additional prefabricated post – same tooth (D2957)

  • To be used with D2954
