Bleeding Disorders Awareness Month
March is Bleeding Disorders Awareness Month, which aims to raise awareness of finding better treatments and cures for bleeding disorders such as hemophilia.
Three million people across the U.S. live with disorders that can cause extended bleeding after injury, surgery or trauma. These can be life-threatening if not treated effectively.
The National Hemophilia Foundation offers helpful resources for providers, including a rare bleeding- and clotting-disorders resource center, information on the Partners in Bleeding Disorders Education Program, as well as a list of Continuing Medical Education- (CME)- and Continuing Education Units- (CEU)-accredited webinars.
