2023 product updates: midsize and large (51+) groups

August 16, 2022

We’re excited to announce our large group product and benefits updates for 2023. To keep up with the continually changing needs of your business and employees, we’re delivering an enhanced Regence experience. Our updates emphasize innovative health plan options to fit your specific needs, including digital health solutions to improve employee health, local expertise with national reach and award-winning member service.

Fully insured groups of 51+:

  • New Virtual Value™ plans: These new plans give employees access to unlimited virtual care visits at no cost to them—before they meet their deductible. Whether they need primary or acute care, they can visit with a doctor and get a diagnosis, treatment plan and even a prescription sent to the pharmacy—anywhere, anytime.
  • Wellness incentive increase: Employees and their spouses/domestic partners can earn up to $100 through Regence Empower™ when they get certain preventive care screenings and exams. This encourages employees to use in-network preventive services without incurring any out-of-pocket costs.

Fully insured groups of 51+ and ASO groups:

  • Classic Premium plans: Our new zero-dollar copay, non-HSA plans have separate accumulators with 0% in-network and 50% out-of-network coinsurance after the deductible. These benefits, coupled with low deductibles, will help employees get affordable care.

Fully insured groups of 101+ and ASO groups:

  • Virtual Primary Care option: Virtual Primary Care (VPC) via Doctor On Demand can be added to groups’ existing plans, giving employees access to virtual care for both acute and chronic conditions, as well as routine preventive wellness.

All groups:

  • Preauthorization (PA) removed from Sleep Medicine program: To improve employee access to sleep medicine, we are eliminating the PA requirement on home sleep studies through the Sleep Medicine program effective January 1, 2023. This change applies to all fully insured groups that have the Sleep Medicine program embedded and ASO groups that have it as a buy-up.
  • Regence BabyWise name changing:
We’re changing the name of our Regence BabyWise prenatal care program to Pregnancy Program. The program, available as a buy-up, provides specialized support and access to information and a variety of resources to help expectant parents navigate their pregnancy journey to a healthier full-term delivery.
