Whether a member depends on daily medication for a chronic condition or needs to fill a prescription for strep throat, it’s important they get the best medication for their health and their wallet. Prescription costs can vary from pharmacy to pharmacy, and there may be options that are more affordable or have fewer side effects.

That’s why Regence medication support is included with all group plans. It’s a suite of tools that helps members manage their prescriptions and make informed choices, all within their personalized regence.com account.

Medication support helps members:

• Get personalized insights identifying safety concerns and FDA recalls, as well as opportunities to save money, switch to more effective medications and more.
• Research and compare medication costs, effectiveness and side effects.
• Connect with a licensed pharmacist who can review current medications and answer questions.
• Review a care timeline to see a personalized list of medications, provider appointments and labs for each member enrolled on their health plan.

• Get assistance changing and transferring prescriptions or setting up home delivery.

When members need additional help, they can use the Ask a Pharmacist tool to connect with JourniRx pharmacists for personalized assistance. JourniRx is a licensed pharmacy whose clinical pharmacists have decades of real-world expertise. They can review a member’s medications and address their most pressing concerns—like cost, efficacy or safety.

All medication support features above are embedded in fully insured plans, and many are embedded in ASO plans. Enhanced medication support features such as Ask a Pharmacist and medication research, grade and comparison tools are available to ASO groups as a buy-up.

To help encourage engagement, we’ve created a toolkit with effective, easy-to-use materials that drive adoption of medication support tools [OR] [WA] [UT] [ID]. The toolkit includes an employee email, interactive tool tour, digital display screen, newsletter article, poster and flyer.
