National account strategy emphasizes flexibility, choice and new capabilities

But with large businesses today requiring more complex benefits design for more geographically distributed workforces, only a health plan strategy offering the right combination of solutions and financial tools can meet their needs.

Our evolving approach to serving national accounts is built on providing more flexibility and choice for employers. Offering access to Blue® Plan providers and hospitals across the country and worldwide through the BlueCard® Program—where groups and employees can receive in-network medical and behavioral health care with 95% of all doctors and 96% of all hospitals nationwide—is just the beginning.

With this in mind we’ve updated our national accounts brochure and website to highlight the breadth of customization choices available to employers with 2,500+ enrolled employees. Options include network and pharmacy benefits design; financial strategies to help employers and employees better manage health care spending; and customizable utilization management, clinical, underwriting, reporting, and wellness and ancillary products and services. Choices like these enable employers to offer the most attractive benefits packages to their employees nationwide and internationally, with tools and programs that help them contain costs.
