New Medicare member welcome packets: What’s included

All new Medicare members receive a welcome packet that includes a welcome letter, Quick Start Guide and Notification of Electronic Documents flyer. The flyer also provides National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) information. Member ID cards are mailed separately.

Medicare Advantage members can get over-the-counter (OTC) items on select plans through phone, online, mail order or retail purchases

Members on select plans can purchase approved OTC and health-related products at participating retailers. It’s easy when they use their OTC Network Benefit card, which contains a quarterly allowance for approved items. Members can use it for retail, phone, online or mail-order purchases. Approved items will be automatically paid for based on the available balance. Members can also shop an extensive catalog that includes all Medicare-approved items.
Participating stores include:

  • Walmart
  • CVS Pharmacy
  • Walgreens
  • Family Dollar
  • Dollar General
  • Other corporate and independent pharmacy locations

Members can also use an OTC card to purchase items through athome.Medline.com/card. They can sign on using a 19-digit OTC card number, then select products and place an order by completing the checkout process. They can call 1-833-569-2330, TTY: 711, Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. Eastern time to order over the phone or request a catalog.
