We're excited to announce another rate pass on all Regence BlueShield Medigap plans for the April 1, 2019, renewal! This rate pass highlights the stability in pricing on the Regence Medigap products that producers have come to love over the past several years.
In addition, we'll continue to offer the spousal discount on all 2010 Standard plans. Below is a rate chart for the Bridge Plans, reflecting the monthly paper bill and EFT rates, as well as the spousal discount amounts for each plan:
To qualify for the spousal discount, both members must meet all of the following requirements:
- Reside in the same household
- Be enrolled in any combination of the Regence Bridge Medigap plans (A, C, F, G, K, N)
Be married or state-registered domestic partners
Current members who aren't taking advantage of the discount should call Customer Service at 1 (888) 319-3315 to request it. New applicants simply complete the spousal discount section of the application to have the discount applied to each policy upon approval.
The commissions on all Regence Medigap plans remain 10% per member per month (on full filed rate, not discounted rate) and are paid for the life of the policy. There will be no reductions over time, no reductions for situational enrollments, and no refusal to pay on Agent of Record changes. We'll pay 10% regardless of situation—it's that easy with Regence. (And let's not forget that Regence Bridge Medigap plans have no waiting periods for pre-existing conditions.)
There will be a new application effective April 1, 2019. We'll continue to accept 2018 applications through May 30, 2019.
- We no longer offer a non-monthly billing option, but members can pay using EFT. Members on 2010 standard plans can save $2 per month by selecting the EFT option.
Current members on a non-monthly billing option will be moved to a default paper monthly billing option, effective April 1, 2019. Impacted members will be notified of this change in the annual NORC letter sent out prior to renewal. It will tell members who want to enroll in the EFT option to call Customer Service.
We will continue offering Silver&Fit® on our Medigap plans for 2019. It provides access to more than 13,500 participating fitness center locations or up to two home fitness kits each calendar year. Visit silverandfit.com to find locations. You'll find the Silver&Fit enrollment and sales flyer on the producer website under Forms & Documents.
Members can also save money on dental products, hearing aids, alternative medicine and more with Regence Advantages. Details are available on our website.
